Where should I fly fish in Nov and December?
There are still ample opportunities to get out and fly fish in Nov and December in Minnesota! Obviously don't go out if is is 15 degrees but if it is in the 30's and 40's and you are dressed for the weather it can be very productive and enjoyable! During Nov and Dec Minnesota keeps Whitewater State Park, Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park, and Beaver Creek State park open for catch and release fishing. As well as the town stretches of the South Branch of the Root River through Lanesboro and Preston and Mill Creek within city limits of Chatfield Minnesota. Fly Fishing in the Winter in Minnesota is as calming and peaceful as it gets! The Wisconsin trout season opens back up on the 1st Saturday in January.
