15th Apr 2020

It’s officially official.

A few months ago, we sent out an email asking for some feedback. We wanted (and want) to be better for you. It’s with that feedback in mind, that we made a very important decision. It’s a decision that we didn’t make lightly.

In June of this year, Bob Mitchell’s Fly Shop will be moving into St. Paul. We will be closing the Lake Elmo location at that time. Lake Elmo has been a great home for this shop for the last 38 years, but it’s time for a change. As the shop has evolved and changed, and people’s fishing habits have evolved and changed, Lake Elmo is no longer a convenient location for most of you. That fact, coupled with the upcoming construction on main street Lake Elmo that would inhibit access for a good chunk of our busiest season this summer, pushed us to start looking.

We had a pretty lengthy checklist of things that a new space would have to have in order to get us to move. And we’re happy to say we found a place that checked all but one (and to be honest, an indoor casting pond WAS a bit of a pipe dream).

For the next 7 or so weeks, you can find us here in Lake Elmo. But starting mid-June (exact dates to come), we’ll be located at:
550 Vandalia St
Unit #119
St. Paul MN 55114

Thank you all for supporting us for the last 3 years. It’s been a great ride and we couldn’t have done it without you all. We are so excited for this new chapter and can’t wait to see all your faces in the new space!
