3.27.19 Stream Report

Flows are just starting to get good! Today’s warm temps will melt a bunch of snow that is still in the shade, so streams will bump back up a little bit again. The Kinni is coming back up a little bit but was fishable yesterday. The Rush should be pretty darn fishable by this weekend. Blue Winged Olives are out and about already! Cloudy calm days are the best for finding these guys hatching out on the streams. Sizes 16 or 18 work best. The BWO hatch is one of our favorites, if you hit it just right it can be the best dry fly fishing of the year. Midges and black stones will still work as well. If you find the river to be off color fish much bigger bugs in dark colors such as brown or black. Get out there and go fishing!
