Our little corner of the world is back in shape and fishing nicely. Fish are tough this time of year. Plan on fishing hoppers and beetles with a small nymph underneath. Switch to small dries if you're lucky enough to encounter a hatch.

Upper Kinnickinnic River

Section: Upstream from River Falls

Water Flow:

normal high

Water Temp:

55-59 degrees

Clarity

stained, easily fishable

Hatches:

There are midge and Plauditus hatches occasionally.

Suggested Patterns:

Brassies, Pheasant Tails, Poxyback BWO nymphs

Lower Kinnickinnic River

Section: Below the town of River Falls - downstream from the second dam.

right around 60 degrees

Water Clarity:

stained, fishable

Hatches:

Plauditus, midges, Tricos

Tunghead Pheasant Tail, BWO Trigger Nymph, Zebra Midges

Section: Martell to US 10

We are shy of temperature data on the Rush. Take a temp, keep us posted.
